Serving as a light in the darkness, helping kids to come as they are and be changed into who God wants them to be ***

Lighthouse Kids serves students from birth to 5th grade with classes and curriculum designed for their developmental level on Sunday mornings, during Main Service and Connect Hour, and Wednesday nights. Lessons are unique to each service.

Family bonds and modeling your faith to the next generation are core values here at Lighthouse which is why kids attend worship with their parents and then dismiss to class when prompted. On Sundays, if your family chooses to attend Connect Hour, your child can simply stay in the Kids Ministry wing and attend the next class. Kids remain in their classroom until they are picked up by a parent with a corresponding security tag.

Nursing Mother’s Room and Parent’s Room (both located alongside the sanctuary) are available.

Church-wide Spiritual Growth Challenge

Each January Pastor Ritchey encourages everyone at Lighthouse to take part in our annual spiritual growth challenge of reading the entire Bible in one year. This challenge is based on Hebrews 5:12-14 which talks about the spiritual maturity that comes from spending time in God’s Word. We believe that God’s will for all believers is that they become spiritually mature. God reveals His heart, will, and nature through His Word. When we fail to read ALL of God's Word, we miss out on opportunities to discover the character and personality of God. Choose this year to push the boundaries of your faith, striving towards spiritual maturity by joining us in reading the whole Bible!

Kids can participate too!

As long as a child is truly listening, it’s NOT cheating to use an audio Bible to complete their weekly reading. We know that developing readers aren’t always able to read the entire Bible independently, which is why students who complete the reading plan for their age group are still eligible for the celebratory steak dinner at Shady Maple with Pastor Ritchey at the end of the year. Students can also earn prizes throughout the year as they reach checkpoints in the plans.

Preschool Reading Plan

The Bible App for Kids is an interactive journey from Genesis to Revelation that shows the overall story of Scripture. For every 5 badges your preschooler completes, they earn a prize in class.

Elementary Reading Plan

This original reading plan is divided into weekly reading checklists. Each week, they’ll read or listen to select chapters from the next book in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. As kids complete an entire month’s worth of reading (or listening), they earn a prize in class. Printable Reading Plan

We are the church of today

Spirit Empowered
In 2 Corinthians 5:20, the Bible declares that “we are therefore Christ’s ambassadors as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: be reconciled to God.”

You’re never too young to share your faith and invite a friend to church! During Invite Nights, Elementary classes combine for fun-filled themed events.

Active Members of Lighthouse
In 1 Timothy 4:12, the Apostle Paul instructed Timothy, his younger mentee, “don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example…”

Throughout the year, Lighthouse Kids get involved; using their gifts and talents to serve

About Me:

Hello! I’m Mr. Braxton, and I’d love for you to join us in Lighthouse Kids soon!

Children are incredibly special to God, and they are special to us here at Lighthouse. We’re passionate about creating a place where kids can encounter the Lord, grow in their faith, and build a strong foundation in His Word. I’m truly grateful that God has called me here for such a time as this, and I can’t wait to be part of what He’s doing in the lives of these amazing kids!
