Camp Schedule
-
5:45 - 6:00pm
We accept new campers all week long! Kids who are arriving for the first time (without pre-registering online) will be able to register in person.
Both new campers and returning campers should enter the front doors of the church and head to the Check Ins Desk in front of the main sanctuary to collect their name tags and parent pick up tags.
-
6:00-7:00pm
Students check into camp in the front foyer and then head into the sanctuary. During lesson time, we learn the memory verse for the week and play a few games as we get started.
Then we dim the lights, and our live-action original adaptation of the story of David begins. After the show ends, we sing and dance to praise songs, and a leader will preach a short message, followed by the opportunity for kids to respond and have a time of prayer with leaders.
-
7:00-7:30pm
Kids will be separated by age group for their first workshop. Each day, the kids will go to a different workshop. The workshops this year will be gym games, crafts, and dessert decorating.
-
7:40-8:20pm
During this workshop, kids will prepare for a group presentation during Super Sunday’s 9:00 am service.
Campers will have the choice between Drums, Choir, and Praise Movers.
-
8:30pm
Kids will be back in the main sanctuary for parent pick up. Parents must supply the matching security tag to their child’s tag before a child will be released.

In the same way that pastors at Lighthouse pray and seek the Lord for direction on what to preach on a Sunday, instead of downloading a sermon series from a Christian publishing company, Lighthouse Kids Camp’s lessons are completely original.
It’s important that kids learn at a young age to trust in the Lord and let Him lead and guide them all their lives. This year, our memory verse is Proverbs 4:23 “Above everything else, guard your heart. Everything you do comes from it.” Kids need to hear the Good News that, through His work on the Cross, Jesus offers to trade out hearts of stone for a heart of flesh to all who call on His name. When we allow Jesus to change our hearts, then our actions reflect Him and His ways. Just like David was a man after God’s heart, we want to be people seeking the Lord and all His ways!
This year, campers will go on a Mighty Mission with “Faith Force,” a superhero team that learns important lessons from David that are used to fight their arch-nemeses, Dr. Disagreeable and Miss Chief, and to live their lives as Christians. We will learn that God has a Mighty Mission that He calls us to, and in order to fulfill God’s Mighty Mission for our lives, we need to: Be Faithful with the Little, Rely on God’s Power, Honor Authority, and Live Holy.
